Manuel Peralta

Manuel Peralta is the president of the Frente de Mercados del Perú, representing around 1,800 retail markets. He has been vocal about the pervasive insecurity affecting markets across Peru, highlighting extortion faced by vendors. In response to these challenges, he has organized a strike on November 6 to demand government action against crime and protest against excessive fines imposed by Sedapal for alleged pollution.
