Manuela Leonhard

Manuela Leonhard is a former assistant to the Mayor of Zurich, Corine Mauch, who resigned in spring 2023 at the age of 57 to seek new professional opportunities. Concerned about being forced into retirement at 66 under city regulations, she chose to leave her position to avoid the impending compulsory pensioning. Inspired by her mother, who worked until the age of 80, Leonhard advocates for a cultural shift in Switzerland to better support senior workers wishing to remain in the workforce.
