Marcela Canet Láscarez is a renowned Costa Rican cyclist with over 40 years of involvement in the sport. Her career began with BMX at the age of 13, and she later transitioned to road cycling, mountain biking, downhill, and enduro, the latter of which she retired from in 2021. Canet has been recognized for her contributions to cycling, and she currently teaches cross country cycling while managing her own bike shop in Tibás. She is honored to be the namesake of the Vuelta Ciclística Femenina Telecable 2026, reflecting her significant impact on the sport and dedication to fostering future generations of female cyclists.
