Marcelo Da Silva
Marcelo Da Silva is a Uruguayan naval officer who formerly served as the chief of staff to the ex-commander-in-chief of the Navy, Jorge Wilson. He was recently in the news due to a decision by the Ministry of Defense to impose a sanction of 15 to 30 days of rigorous arrest on him and three other naval leaders as part of an investigation into the controversial procurement of oceanic patrol vessels from the Spanish shipyard Cardama.
