Marco Aurelio Martínez Suazo

Marco Aurelio Martínez Suazo was a celebrated Garifuna singer-songwriter known for his contributions to the cultural heritage of the Garifuna people. He was a dual national of Honduras and the United States, and his music often reflected themes of identity and community. Tragically, he was among the victims of a plane crash on March 17, 2025, near Roatán, Honduras, which claimed the lives of twelve people.
