Marco Sciammarella

Marco Sciammarella is an accomplished pianist and the co-founder of AllegroModerato, a cooperative orchestra established in Milan in 2011. With a background in musicology and extensive studies in music and disability, Sciammarella has dedicated his career to using music as a means of inclusion and empowerment for individuals with disabilities. Under his direction, AllegroModerato has grown from a small ensemble to a vibrant community of over 200 musicians, offering a diverse range of musical experiences that emphasize professional artistry and social impact. Sciammarella believes in the transformative power of music, not just as a therapeutic tool but as a legitimate form of artistic expression that fosters independence among its participants.
