Marcos Pavan
Monsignor Marcos Pavan is a Brazilian priest and music director known for his role as the maestro of the Sistine Chapel Choir, a position he has held since 2019 after being appointed by Pope Francis. Born in São Paulo, he studied vocal technique and Gregorian chant in both São Paulo and New York. Pavan led the choir in the funeral rites of Pope Francis, making significant contributions to the liturgical music of the Vatican.
