Margaret M. Mitchell

Margaret M. Mitchell is a professor of early Christianity at the University of Chicago Divinity School. She critiques Dennis MacDonald's claims regarding Homer’s influence on the New Testament, arguing that while Homer’s cultural impact was significant in the ancient world, the thesis that major parts of the New Testament heavily borrow from Homer is overstated.
