Margaret Myfanwe Goodall

Margaret Myfanwe Goodall, also known as Vanne, was the mother of prominent primatologist Jane Goodall. An author and novelist, she played a significant role in her daughter's early life and career, even accompanying her to the Gombe Stream Reserve during Jane's groundbreaking field studies in the early 1960s. Vanne's support and encouragement were pivotal in Jane's journey to becoming one of the world’s leading conservationists.
