Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque was a French nun of the Visitation Order in the 17th century, celebrated for her role in promoting the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Her efforts led to the establishment of the Feast of the Sacred Heart, which is still observed in the Catholic Church today.
