Marharita Polowinko

Marharita Polowinko was a young Ukrainian artist turned volunteer medic who bravely supported medical teams in war zones during the conflict in Ukraine. She initially served as a translator for medical staff, later undergoing medical training to actively assist in providing care to the injured. Tragically, she lost her life in April 2025 during a Russian attack while serving with a drone unit. Her dedication to learning and contributing to the war effort exemplifies the resilience and commitment of civilians who step up in times of conflict.
