Maria Bourbou

Maria Bourbou is a Greek-Luxembourgish artist known for her photography and video art that explores the relationship between humanity and nature. Originally from Athens, she has lived in Luxembourg and currently resides in Vienna. Bourbou specializes in working with analog Leica cameras and combines various media, including photography, video, installations, poetry, and sound. Her artistic focus is on unspoiled landscapes, such as those found on the Greek island of Kythnos, which she transforms into multifaceted artworks. She has exhibited solo in Athens and is actively involved in promoting digital connections among artists through her project Luxembourg Art Walk. Her current exhibition, 'Fragments - Θραύσματα,' is showcased on Kythnos until July 31, 2025.
