Maria Carla Gonzalez Paz

Maria Carla Gonzalez Paz is a dedicated student at Florida State University and the vice president of the university's Cuban-American Student Association. In response to a tragic mass shooting that occurred on campus, she and her fellow students organized efforts to express their gratitude to local law enforcement. They delivered Cuban sandwiches to the Tallahassee Police Department as a heartfelt gesture of appreciation for the officers' bravery and support during the crisis. This act also served to honor Robert Morales, a beloved FSU dining coordinator and founder of Gordos Cuban Cuisine, who was a victim of the shooting.
