Maria Dănuță

Maria Dănuță was a dedicated police officer and a symbol of heroism in the fight for the independence of Moldova. At just 21 years old, she tragically lost her life during the conflict in 1992 while attempting to support her colleagues at the front. Posthumously recognized with the Order of 'Ștefan cel Mare' and the 'Cross for Merit,' her sacrifice highlights the courage of many who fought for their nation's freedom.
