María Estelí Jarquín

María Estelí Jarquín is a Costa Rican expert in scientific diplomacy who migrated to England over two years ago to expand her understanding of how Latin America is perceived by scientific powers and to learn from countries that invest significantly in research. She has faced numerous challenges as the only non-British, non-European, and non-native English speaker in her research center, yet her experiences have fostered her resilience and commitment to bridging knowledge gaps between her home country and the international community.
