Maria Gerber

Maria Gerber was a Holocaust survivor who lived in Krasnystaw, Poland. She hid in a basement during the war and lost most of her family to the atrocities of the Holocaust. Her story has deeply influenced her great-nephew, Jesse Eisenberg, who has expressed an obsession with her experiences and the historical trauma of their family.
