María Hernández Matas

María Hernández Matas was a 35-year-old Spanish humanitarian worker with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), dedicated to providing medical assistance in war-torn regions. She was killed along with two colleagues in June 2021 while on a mission in Ethiopia's Tigray region, drawing attention to the dangers faced by aid workers in conflict areas.
