María José Céspedes is a talented 13-year-old writer from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. Recently, she gained international recognition by winning the 'Macondo sí tiene quién le escriba' storytelling contest, which included participants from 12 countries. Her story, 'El corazón vibrante de Santa Cruz,' reflects her deep affection for her hometown, showcasing its vibrant life and culture. Studying at Uboldi School, María José was inspired by her teacher to enter this contest, marking her first experience in storytelling competitions. She emphasizes the importance of expressing oneself through writing and encourages other children to participate in such enriching experiences.
