María José Safont

María José Safont is a member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology (SEOM) and a practicing oncologist at the General University Hospital of Valencia. Although she did not participate in the recent study on pancreatic cancer, she recognizes its significance in advancing the understanding of the tumor microenvironment and its implications for treatment strategies. Safont advocates for innovative approaches that target the tumor stroma to improve therapeutic outcomes in pancreatic cancer and similar malignancies.
