Maria Marakis

Maria Marakis is the daughter of Thrasivoulos Kalafatakis, who was executed by the Nazis in 1944. As a child, Maria had limited memories of her father, having only seen him once before his arrest. She has played a crucial role in passing down the family history and the legacy of her father's bravery to her children, particularly to her son, Thrasivoulos Marakis, who deeply respects his grandfather's contributions and sacrifices during a tumultuous time in Greek history.
