María Paz Peñaloza

María Paz Peñaloza was a 31-year-old Colombian woman who tragically died after undergoing an illegal cosmetic surgery performed by an unlicensed practitioner in New York City. Originally from Villavicencio, she had migrated to the United States in 2021 and was a devoted mother of two young children. Her life took a heartbreaking turn when she suffered a cardiac arrest during the procedure, leading to her hospitalization and eventual death on April 11, 2025.
