Maria Pia Caruso is a devoted Catholic from northern Italy who traveled to Rome with her husband, Roberto Vallone, to pay their respects to Pope Francis after his passing at the age of 88. They arrived early to secure a good spot in St. Peter's Square for the solemn procession of the late Pope's body.
