María Unger Reimer

María Unger Reimer is a 34-year-old woman originally from the Mennonite colony of Nueva Esperanza in La Pampa, Argentina. After enduring years of domestic violence and oppressive community norms, she escaped her community in 2019 seeking a life of freedom. However, her life took a dark turn when her ex-partner threatened her and their daughters, leading to their alleged abduction back to the community. María is currently fighting for the safety and custody of her children amidst ongoing threats and legal battles.
