Marian Le Capellain

Marian Le Capellain was an early pioneer of preschool education in Costa Rica, advocating for the establishment of kindergartens to provide educational opportunities for young children, especially those from impoverished backgrounds. In 1913, she founded the first official kindergarten associated with the Escuela Normal de Señoritas, marking a significant step in the development of early childhood education in the country.
