Marichka Marczyk
Marichka Marczyk is a Ukrainian-Canadian singer-songwriter and medic who founded the musical ensemble Daughters of Donbas to raise awareness about the plight of Ukrainian children forcibly deported to Russia during the ongoing conflict. Originally from Kyiv, she moved to Toronto and has since returned to Ukraine to volunteer as a medic, while also using her musical talents to advocate for change and support her homeland. Through her performances, she seeks to create empathy and action around the issues facing Ukrainians, particularly the 20,000 children affected by the war.
