Mariella Mazzotti is an Uruguayan social worker and political figure known for her extensive career in public service, particularly within the Intendencia of Montevideo. She has held various significant roles, including president of the Women's Commission and director of Development Citizenship in the Ministry of Social Development. A prominent feminist leader, Mazzotti was recognized in 2019 as one of the 100 most influential people in global gender equality policies. Recently, she served as the honorary advisor and temporarily assumed the role of Intendenta of Montevideo due to the absence of the current mayor.
