Marielys Sacipa

Marielys Sacipa is the secretary of Public Services for the Governorship of Mérida and the regional director of the National Electric Corporation (Corpoelec) in Venezuela. She has been in the news for addressing the severe electricity crisis facing the Andean region due to an intense drought that has critically affected the water levels in key hydroelectric reservoirs, prompting the implementation of a Load Management Plan to mitigate the impact on electricity supply.
