Marijal Šajok is a South Sudanese professional basketball player born on July 26, 1995, in Ottawa, Canada. Standing at 198 centimeters, he primarily plays as a shooting guard or small forward. After starting his college career at the University of Virginia, he gained prominence at Iowa State University, where he averaged 18.7 points per game in his final NCAA season. Drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in 2019, he spent time in the NBA and the G League, notably with the Delaware Blue Coats and Maine Celtics. Šajok has also played in Europe for teams like Bursa and Fenerbahçe, winning the Turkish championship. He has represented South Sudan in international competitions, including the 2023 World Cup and the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics, showcasing his scoring ability and versatility on the court. Recently, he joined Budućnost Voli, enhancing their offensive capabilities.
