Marina Petrozhitskaya

Marina Petrozhitskaya, a 62-year-old former deputy principal of Gymnasium No. 34 in Minsk, has dedicated nearly four decades to teaching mathematics after graduating from the Minsk Pedagogical Institute in 1984. In July 2021, she was detained by the KGB, which led to her imprisonment and dismissal from her teaching position. Recently, she was sentenced to two years in a penal colony and fined for her involvement in creating an 'extremist formation' through participation in a local chat community.
