Marino Martes

Marino Martes is the president of the Asociación de Buhoneros del Distrito Nacional, an organization representing street vendors in the capital. He was recently in the news for his collaboration with the Alcaldía del Distrito Nacional in the recovery of public spaces, particularly in the Máximo Gómez and Nicolás de Ovando intersection, where he supported the peaceful and consensual removal of over 38 illegal occupations that had been in place for nearly 25 years.
