Mario Di Giovanni was an Italian teacher at the Salesian Institute in Fossano, known for his dedication to education and discipline. Born in 1941 in Caserta, he moved to San Mauro Torinese in his youth. Di Giovanni aspired to become a priest but shifted his path due to health issues, eventually serving as a Salesian Coadjutor. Tragically, he was murdered in March 1983 by two of his students in a premeditated attack, allegedly over accusations of theft, which highlighted the dark motives behind the violent act.
