Mario Faro is a prominent Sicilian avocado producer whose company, located between Acireale and Taormina, has transitioned from ornamental plant cultivation to tropical fruit production in response to climate change and market demand. With over 60 years of experience, he has adapted his farming practices to cope with increasing temperatures and pest challenges, now dedicating 50 hectares to avocado cultivation and planning to double this area within a year.
