Mario Marcelo Dias Brasil is a lieutenant colonel of the Military Police and serves as the commander of the 27th Battalion (BPM) in Santa Cruz, Rio de Janeiro. He has been actively involved in coordinating police operations to combat crime and prevent violence in areas affected by gang warfare, particularly between the local militia and the Comando Vermelho drug faction.
