Mark Shuster

Mark Shuster is the director of the Division of Energy Research at the Bureau of Economic Geology (BEG) at the University of Texas at Austin. He has extensive experience in geological studies related to energy resources, including oil, gas, and emerging energy sources. Recently, he was in the news for leading a mission to the Dominican Republic to initiate a collaborative research project with the Dominican government aimed at assessing the hydrocarbon potential of the country's terrestrial and marine basins.
