Marlon Mora Jiménez

Marlon Mora Jiménez is a Costa Rican journalist and former head of institutional communication at the University of Costa Rica (UCR). He was recently in the news due to his dismissal from the university, effective May 9, 2025, following the unauthorized release of a video summarizing a rector's council meeting. In the video, Mora discussed criticisms directed at the press by university officials, which led to controversy and the subsequent removal from his position. He has previously served as president of the College of Journalists and has been an advocate for freedom of expression.
