Marta Castany is an ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma at Vall d’Hebron Hospital in Barcelona. In response to the increasing prevalence of myopia and its associated complications, she co-founded the Myopia Unit in 2024, aimed at fostering collaboration between retina and glaucoma specialists to provide a more holistic approach to patient care.
