Marta Villaverde Acuña

Marta Villaverde Acuña is a Spanish politician who was appointed as the new conselleira de Mar in the Xunta de Galicia in October 2023. Prior to her appointment, she served as the director general of Desarrollo Pesquero. Her promotion followed the resignation of Alfonso Villares amid serious allegations, and she is expected to take over the responsibilities for the region's maritime affairs.
