Maruta Alpa

Maruta Alpa is a distinguished figure in the Latvian dance community, recognized for her extensive experience in organizing significant cultural events. After taking over the role at the Latvian National Cultural Centre from Ingrīda Edīte Saulīte, she has continued to develop and enhance the rich tradition of Latvian folk dance, contributing her own innovative ideas while respecting the legacies of past leaders. Having danced in the Dancī group and led the Carnikava dance collective, Alpa's dedication to fostering the art of dance has made her an influential mentor in the field.
