
Marvin Olivares
Marvin Olivares is a distinguished Guatemalan artist known for his vibrant watercolors and dedication to the field of visual arts. He graduated from the Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas in 1983 and later earned a degree in Visual Arts from the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala in 2009. His artistic journey was further enriched by studies in Costa Rica, supported by scholarships from the Dirección General de Cultura y Bellas Artes and UNESCO. Olivares gained recognition for his collaboration with journalist Juan Carlos Lemus, illustrating the adventures of the character Señor Nariz de Zanahoria, which captivated audiences in the cultural section of Prensa Libre. His recent exhibition showcases nearly 200 of these watercolors, celebrating the creative partnership that brought the character to life.
