Maryam Saleh

Maryam Saleh, a graphic design graduate from Shiraz, has gained recognition as Iran's first bicycle book seller, known as 'Book Bike'. Since her venture began in winter 2021, she has been traveling through various neighborhoods, selling books from a 200-kilogram metal box attached to her bicycle. Despite initial skepticism from her family regarding the feasibility of her idea, Maryam's determination and passion for literature have led her to become a beloved figure in her community, engaging with readers of all ages and promoting a love for books. Her unique approach to selling literature has attracted attention on social media and even reached the archives of UNESCO, showcasing her impact on promoting reading in Iran.
