Marylin Castro

Marylin Castro is a Colombian woman who gained international attention after being accused of murdering and dismembering her boyfriend, Alessandro Venier, in Italy. The incident, which took place in Gemona del Friuli, shocked the local community and drew widespread media coverage. Castro, who was 30 years old at the time of the incident and had a six-month-old daughter with Venier, was initially detained alongside her mother-in-law, Lorena Venier. While both women confessed to the crime, a judge later granted Castro a special measure considering her status as a mother, allowing her to be transferred to a protection center instead of remaining in prison.
