Marzieh Afkhami

Marzieh Afkhami has made history by being appointed as the first female ambassador in the fourteenth government of Iran, representing the Islamic Republic in Slovenia. With a distinguished career in diplomacy, she previously served as the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the ambassador to Malaysia. Additionally, she has held significant roles as an advisor to the minister and as the director general of women's affairs and human rights within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
