Mathieu Wijdeven

Mathieu Wijdeven is a Dutch playwright and the great-grandson of George Garhardus Theodorus Rustwijk. He recently presented the play 'Het waarom beantwoord' in Suriname, a revival of his ancestor's work that addresses enduring social issues. Wijdeven's research into his great-grandfather's life and work inspired him to explore themes of identity and heritage, culminating in this emotional theatrical experience.
