Matija Črešnar

Matija Črešnar is an associate professor at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ljubljana, specializing in the historical interactions between societies and environmental changes. He leads the MATRES project, which explores how human societies have historically confronted environmental and social changes, aiming to apply these insights to contemporary challenges. The project focuses on developing innovative digital solutions to better understand and predict risks to our material world, particularly concerning cultural heritage.
