Matt Kingsland

Matt Kingsland is an engineer associated with the UK's National Oceanography Centre (NOC), where he has been involved in trials of marine autonomous underwater vehicles for nearly a decade. His work focuses on testing robotics and sensors in challenging environments like Loch Ness, which offers unique conditions for developing technologies intended for deep-sea exploration. Kingsland was part of the team that unexpectedly discovered a historical underwater camera while conducting trials with the robot submarine Boaty McBoatface.
