Matteo Franzoso is a 25-year-old Italian alpine skier from Genoa, born on September 16, 1999. He specializes in speed events and is a member of the Fiamme Gialle sports group. Having developed his skiing skills in Sestriere, Franzoso has made a name for himself by competing in multiple World Cup events, achieving a best finish of 28th. In 2023, he became the Italian champion in the combined event. Recently, he was in the news due to a serious accident during training in La Parva, Chile, where he suffered a significant head injury and is currently in a medically induced coma for treatment.
