Matthew Gordon-Stables is another neighbor who observed the confrontation between Rakai Thompson and Te Omeka Akariri-Buckley. He reported hearing yelling and saw Thompson striking Akariri-Buckley before the latter collapsed, which he later recounted during the trial.
