Matthew John Serra

Matthew John Serra is a retired American mixed martial artist, best known for his tenure in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he became the welterweight champion. Competing from 1999 to 2010, Serra is celebrated for his grappling skills and his role in popularizing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the U.S. He was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2013. Serra is also known for his engaging personality and commentary work in MMA, contributing to the sport both as a fighter and a trainer.
