Maulana Fazlullah
Maulana Fazlullah, also known as 'Mullah Radio', was the leader of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) from 2013 until his death in 2018. He gained notoriety for his fiery sermons broadcast over illegal radio stations, advocating for a strict interpretation of Islamic law and promoting violent jihad against the Pakistani government. Under his leadership, the TTP conducted several high-profile attacks, including the tragic 2014 Peshawar school massacre, which resulted in the deaths of over 130 children. Fazlullah's tenure marked a period of intense violence in Pakistan's tribal regions, and he was ultimately targeted and killed in a U.S. drone strike in Afghanistan, reflecting the ongoing conflict between the TTP and Pakistani state forces.
