
Maulana Samiul Haq
Maulana Samiul Haq was a prominent Pakistani cleric and politician, often referred to as the 'Father of the Afghan Taliban' due to his role in educating many key Taliban figures at his seminary, Darul Uloom Haqqania. He served as a senator and was the head of his own faction of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam party. Haq was known for his influence in both local and regional politics until his assassination in 2018.
